STORY
Amber Jordan, caught up in all the endless struggles and disappointments of the past 21 years, is convinced her life is not worth living. Until she meets Michael Hollings, a man who has found a new spirituality. Their fateful collision, on opposite ends of the spectrum, will bind these two unlikely characters together for the rest of their lives.

Jeff Mustard
Jeff Mustard (Playwright) is a writer and producer for various media, Jeff’s work in print, radio, television, and stage has been published and produced locally, regionally, and nationally. He has written two prestigious historical-fiction pilot television shows in recent years, both of which have earned multiple TV industry accolades. During the pandemic and following the George Floyd Murder wrote and produced a six-track album, Enough with Equal Justice Studios, addressing society’s racial and social inequities. Dennis Gersten
Dennis is co-artistic director of Theatre Unlimited in the Noho Arts District in L.A. He is a founding member of the Michael Chekhov Studio in L.A., and Stagewrights, Inc. in NYC, as well as a teaching artist with Inside Out Community Arts/P.S.Arts. He has directed and performed in many original and classic works, garnering multiple awards.

Sue Gisser as Amber
Sue Gisser is trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, Steppenwolf West, the Groundlings, West, Second City, Antaeus Academy, Theatricum Botanicum, and holds a BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers. In her professional career, Sue is blessed to seldom work with a director, show, or theatre company only once. She’s recurred on “Shameless,” “Strangers with Candy,” and “Solved;” did multiple spots in campaigns for ‘Burlington Coat Factory,’ ‘Mercury Insurance,’ and ‘Cedar Fair;’ completed 20 tours between the Shoestring Players, Open Window Entertainment, and the George Street Playhouse; her films include “The Activist” and “In the Air”- both by French Director Cyril Morin. This is her first podcast, and she’s totally hooked. Playing Char has been an honor. Sue is grateful to Bernadette for opening up this new world to her, and for the opportunity to work on this beautiful play, with such strong, talented women! @suegisser
Ayla Rose Barreau as Flight Attendant
Ayla Rose Barreau, a New England native, has been performing on stage since before she could walk. Now as a SAG-AFTRA actor, Ayla has co-starred on Fox’s Glee and NBC’s Heroes and graced the big screen as Ruby in the award-winning film, The Busker. Ayla has kept herself busy with several digital theatre and TV projects over the pandemic and is currently a member of the SkyPilot Theatre Company.
Rosney Mauger as Micheal Hollings
Rosney Mauger Is a Los Angeles-based Actor and Photographer from Mount Dora, Fl. He is excited and humbly grateful to be participating in the Open-Door Podcast. He has appeared in several on-stage productions most Recently in productions of “A Christmas Carol” and “All The Way” at South Coast Repertory. He is also a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (2015).
Noelle Evangelista as Massage Client and Older Passenger
Noelle received her MFA in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts. She was cast in the following major motion pictures: Terminator Two, LA Confidential, and Pacific Heights. Noelle has performed in numerous theaters in Los Angeles and one of her favorite and most memorable roles as Liz in The Philadelphia Story. She loves working on commercials and voiceovers and had a great time doing a radio play pre-Covid with the Screen Actors Guild. Enjoy and stay safe and healthy everyone!
